PRESS: TransContainer sees double-digit shipments growth in 2020

MOSCOW, May 26 (PRIME) -- Russian container shipping company TransContainer plans a double-digit year-on-year growth of shipments in 2020, Kommersant business daily reported on Tuesday citing an interview with the company’s President Alexander Isurin.

“I hope that we will outperform the market. I will not mention exact figures, but we project a 6% rise of the market, and our growth ambition is double-digit,” he said.

Isurin also said he hoped that TransContainer will be able to raise its market share.

“Competition has strengthened noticeably in the segment of railway deliveries. The fleet deficit has disappeared starting from the end of 2018, new companies have emerged… Price competition is impossible in the long term as it influences the financial metrics much. That is why our task is to become a priority choice for our clients,” he said.

TransContainer’s integration with other assets of Delo Group, its main shareholder, increased, Isurin said.

He also said that TransContainer will revised its 2025 development strategy by July 1.
